The UK based synth-pop duo AK/DK are back with the analogue synth heavy single ‘Lagom’, the first jam taken from their second album due for release later this spring.
Their first long player was the experimental ‘Synths + Drums + Noise + Space’ which saw the pair bravely cut the songs from improvising live in the studio but this time around they returned to a more conventional way composition and recording. Expect trademark searing synth lines, incessant double drum layers and inspiration drawn from electronic pioneers like Devo and Kraftwerk.
‘Lagom’ has already gained support from the likes of BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens and John Kennedy at Radio X. The duo have also made appearances on the festival circuit including Latitude and Green Man and will be taking their analogue sounds across the UK this spring, including a show at Brixton Electric in London on the 10th of March.
