Melbourne native Nick Di Gregorio, announces new dates in the capital as he brings his jazz flavoured acoustic pop to a wider audience. Since moving to London, the young singer/songwriter has been honing his skills on the live circuit, taking his set to WOMAD Festival, The National Gallery, The Troubadour along the way.
Announcing himself on the scene last year with the release of his debut EP ‘Lover Birds’, the 6 track offering provides a snapshot of life and love for a musician making his way in London.
“I see the songs as six stories that have grown with me through my travels and finally have a place to settle.”
Songs like ‘Lauren Brown’ and ‘Collisions in Love’ showcase his Jazz leanings and knack for writing indie-pop flavoured acoustic gems which have drawn comparisons with John Mayer, Damien Rice, The Shins and John Martyn. Not afraid to convey a personal story in his music, there is a level of honesty not often seen in such a young artist, not to mention clever guitar licks and a distinctive vocal tone throughout.
