On the new single ‘Stars’ Charley sings a tale of two people with a deep connection in the search for each other, over a synth heavy track. The singer from Southampton manages to create a pop record channelling an 80’s pop vibe with 2017 sensibilities.

Music is a huge part of Charley’s, who’s been singing six the age of six. Her love for music has seen her perform in choirs and become a mainstay of her live local circuit, gigging all over the South coast since the age of 16. Charley then went onto win national singing competitions, leading to her signing her first record deal as a teenager.

Her mix of talent and hard work has seen her at a young age perform on stage with the likes of Tom Jones, Jools Holland, Anastacia and The Kooks. Channelling inspiration from strong voices of yesteryear including Whitney Houston, Lauryn Hill and Kate Bush, Charley manages to create a diverse sound of her own.

Her new single ‘Different Stars’ has a likeness to the sound of Grimes and Chvrches. refusing to be boxed into one genre, or place in time. With a backing track that sounds like it’s from Com Truise’s ‘Galactic Melt’ layered with R&B powerhouse vocals, Charley creates a timeless piece. The release marks an exciting debut for a talented young artist with a very bright future.
