UMA Music are passionate about bringing emerging Artist Managers closer to the music industry and there is no better way than the best organisation we know, the Music Managers Forum.
The Music Managers Forum’s Induction Days cover the essentials of music management.
The one day course, presented by MMF President, Jon Webster, and artist manager & digital marketing expert, Erik Nielsen, will cover everything from management contracts, income streams and royalties, accounting & finance and marketing your artist.
The course is suitable for managers of any level – from new managers and self-managed artists, to the more experienced manager who wants to make sure they’ve got the most up-to-date information.
They will also discuss the basics of the business side of things, welcoming along top industry experts from an accountancy firm, a law firm and a music insurance broker. Expenses, contracts, and public liability insurance will all be discussed, plus much more. You will also have the chance to quiz the experts, and ask any burning questions you may have.
The Induction Day costs £120, but by signing up as an MMF member you can get a 50% discount on the ticket price! You can sign up online via their website at (themmf.net).
If you have any questions about the MMF or membership, please contact Phoebe, the membership secretary (firstname.lastname@example.org) or call the office on 020 7700 5755.
The next MMF induction day takes place on Tuesday 28th of March, from 10am-5pm at Electra House, London Metropolitan University. The course is run four times a year.
